No Bake Protein Peanut Butter Balls Recipe

protein peanut butter balls

I love recipes that are super simple to put together, taste great and pack a flavorful punch! These Protein Peanut Butter balls fit the bill. They are delicious and you can enjoy them guilt-free (in moderation of course)! They remind me of the filling of a Reese’s peanut butter cup, but with the consistency of cookie dough. Doesn’t get better than that!

Ingredients:

1 cup peanut butter
1-1/3 cup protein powder (I used vanilla Syntha-6)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Note: I used vanilla sweetened protein powder. If you use plain or unsweetened protein, you may have to add sweetener of your choice (sugar, Splenda, erythritol, etc.) Experiment with the amount of sweetener to suit your taste.

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in small bowl. Mix until a thick dough forms. Consistency should be similar to dry playdough.

Use a cookie scoop or your hands to form into small (approximately 1 inch diameter) balls. My recipe made 26 balls and the nutrition information I’ve provided is based on 26 servings. Store protein balls in refrigerator. (Tip: I like to put treats like dark chocolate or these protein balls in the freezer. Often out of sight equals out of mind! But when I do choose to indulge I like to eat them frozen - yum!)

Variations:

Try using chocolate or other flavored protein powder. Roll balls in coconut, cocoa powder, or powdered sugar. Dip in melted dark, milk or white chocolate, or drizzle melted chocolate on top.

Nutrition Information (per MyFitnessPal):

Makes 26 balls. Each ball contains 84 calories, 5g protein, 6g fat and 4g carbs. Enjoy!

Oh my goodness! These look delicious! Have you ever tried to make them with Nutella? I wish we had protein powder at home. I think someone’s going to be going to the store later :)

Thanks for stopping by! I haven’t tried the protein balls with Nutella but I imagine they would be fantastic! Nutella is one of those foods I have trouble with in moderation, so I try to keep it out of the house, lol. You might need to add a bit more protein powder because Nutella seems a little softer/creamier than peanut butter. Let me know if you try it!
