Happy August!
It’s time to set new fitness goals for the month! What do you want to achieve? Download your printable workout calendar and get moving!
If you are a runner, now is the time to start thinking about fall races and setting your training schedules.
I’m planning my first half marathon in over 2 years (it will be #20!!)- the Cleveland Rock & Roll Half Marathon in October. I’m super excited to FINALLY be back to running, but I’m proceeding very cautiously due to bone-on-bone arthritis in my knees. I’m also doing Beachbody’s PiYo as cross-training to keep me flexible and strong without added wear and tear on my already aching joints. It’s hard being a delicate flower sometimes, lol!
Challenge yourself.
Whatever way you like to sweat, be sure to stretch yourself this month. Decide to try a new activity, or set a fun strength goal. Maybe you vow to workout five days per week or maybe you’ll rock some wall push-ups and crunches on commercial breaks during your favorite TV show.
Start now.
And if exercise isn’t a regular habit for you yet? No problem. Just start. Don’t make it complicated. Don’t overthink. Just move your body. Enjoy how good it feels to move and you will learn to fall in love with fitness. And your body will thank you.
Make your fitness calendar a habit.
If you consistently set goals and track your workouts you WILL see success! I had a sweet comment tonight from Amy who says she has used my calendar since the beginning of the year and has lost 25 pounds. Hooray Amy!! I love when my readers share their successes, so please stay in touch and don’t be shy.
