What is PiYo?
PiYo is an athletic, dynamic workout designed to torch calories, build strength, and increase flexibility. It is high intensity, but NO impact. You will use your own body weight (no equipment needed!) to work every single muscle to stabilize, stretch and strengthen your body. Chalene Johnson, the perky fitness guru who invented PiYo, says PiYo was created for everyone, including the overweight and obese, and it can be adapted for all fitness levels, from total beginner up to advanced athlete. While you may recognize some positions from yoga and pilates, PiYo is definitely anything but traditional. Carl Diekeler, CEO of Beachbody , says on his blog that “PiYo workout is a high-intensity, low-impact workout for a new kind of STRONG.”
